About the project
Selected for the Ottawa international film festival 0ct. Stopmotion was used to create this fun credit sequence. Models were designed then sculpted in paper which were animated on a motion control rig.

Nanny McPhee Returns
The whole sequence was roughed out in line drawn animation and worked out several times so that we knew exactly what to build and shoot to save time and budget . The Pigs on motorbike had replacement ears so they would waggle as they flew through the air. A team of four modelmakers, lead by Amy Burand and Fiona Barty carefully made all the sculptures from our designs.
All the cartoon characters were animated in flash and then each frame was cutout and re photographed frame by frame. Background elements were shot then composited int three d sets created in c.g.
