Back the Pub
VooDooDog have worked with Apex Communications since the conception of this campaign. Originally launched as Axe the Beer Tax the campaign focused on encouraging the general public to put pressure on their local MPs about the level of beer tax and the affect this was having on pubs and the brewing issue.
We built several highly effective tools to enable the general public to lobby their MPs via the website and also via SMS text message. All of these tools where closely integrated into our own bespoke mailing list management system, Zoom and allowed for realtime updates as well as advanced targeting with marketing communications.
As the campaign grew and government policy changed it became clear the focus and goal of the campaign needed to change too. Working Apex Communications we helped rebrand the campaign to its present form Back the Pub.
Back the Pub is built on the framework of Axe the Beer Tax and continues to grow in weight every day, in June 2010 it had over 140,000 active supporters.
